The Region was formed in 1994 and has had a steady growth in membership since then. Whilst there are many TVR owners in the Region, not everyone feels they want to be part of a club and join in with other owners on a regular basis. However, we are the type of informal club that enables people to join in with a few events but perhaps then miss out for a few months due to other commitments.
The emphasis in our Region is on the social side of membership and whilst we like talking about and driving our cars we also arrange a number of social events throughout the year, including some suitable for families.
Our regular monthly meetings are usually well attended and provide new and existing members with the opportunity to get together, discuss ownership issues, arrange events or just have a catch up with friends.
Perhaps you own a TVR or are thinking of buying into the marque? Perhaps you want to know about local dealers, insurance or servicing? If so, you may find it useful to come along and have some of your questions answered by people who have been running TVRs for many years. Many people have found this useful and have joined the Club before buying a car. Whatever your reason, if you own or are thinking of owning a TVR in East Sussex we’d be pleased to see you.
Where do we meet?
Details of our regular meetings and Regional Organiser will be found on the contacts page. Please make contact before attending an event, in case any details have changed.
What do we do?
As part of the national TVR Car Club we are a fairly active Region and arrange a variety of activities. These include arranging events within the region, attending nationally organised TVRCC events as well as attending motor sport events. To give you a flavour, here’s a selection of activities in which we’ve been involved over recent years:
Sunday Drives
Social events, e.g. 10 Pin Bowling, Clay Pigeon Shooting, visits to places of interest, e.g. Harveys Brewery, Chartwell, meals out, etc.
European trips, e.g. Le Mans for the 24 Hour Race, Champagne Region tour, 'Booze and Battlefield’ tour to WW1 sites.
Racing events at Brands Hatch & Thruxton. TVRCC national events at Millennium Stadium Cardiff, Guards Polo Club Windsor, Stanford Hall and Duxford.
The picture at the top demonstrates the commitment of the Region's members to construct a Le Mans beer wall!
